i only have get to work, discover university and city living, so every judgment other than those are based on the features i know exist and the #testimonials of people who actually have those packs
but ANYWAY heres the verdict (note: i hate giving my money to EA so ‘worth buying’ is quite a high bar for me)
worth buying: discover university, city living
i’ll allow it: seasons (dont come for me lol it would be worth buying if you could toggle packs on/off), get to work
meh: get together, island living, eco lifestyle
am i a joke to you: get famous, cats and dogs, snowy escape
some footnotes:
island living would be bottom tier if the graphics werent so pretty
city living would be perfect except you cant build your own apartment buildings or even upload to/save from the gallery with apartment units, whats that all about ?!
my only gripe with university is that if you’re a student and you live on campus that’s the functional equivalent of moving out of your house permanently :/
mayhaps cats and dogs would be good but as much as i love pets i dont wanna deal with them in the sims lol. also they take up one whole spot in your household and it’s capped at 8 so that’s dumb af
You’re right about city living. It just has……..so much stuff.
Seasons came with so much gameplay that it’s great imo and worth the money (even though I acquire my copies of the game by sacrificing my eyes to Baba Yaga)
Cats and dogs had a POTENTIAL to add a lot of gameplay and then they just faltered with the pet behavior that gets annoying and a vet career that’s as tedious to go through as owning a restaurant ☹️
i hate the supernatural packs but the vampire one has some EXQUISITE build/buy stuff that it’s almost worth it solely for that
literally vampires is the only game pack i have and it would be A+ tier except the game aggressively reminds you about the vampires constantly and that is ALSO something you cant toggle on/off.
like my sims are just minding their own business being a boring suburban family and without fail fucking vladislaus straud appears at their front door like 👁👄👁
